SA: Woman stabbed lover who wanted to end relationship: court

ADELAIDE, Feb 7 AAP - A woman stabbed her lover through the heart with a hunting knife
when he told her he wanted to end their relationship, a jury was told today.

Jodie Belinda Bean, 29, has pleaded not guilty in the South Australian Supreme Court
to the murder of her boyfriend Stephen Platts last February at the Adelaide home they
shared.

Opening the trial, Crown prosecutor Steve Milsteed said Bean and Platts, also 29, had
been living together in the house in suburban Parafield Gardens after beginning an affair
